MarketInk: Marketing volunteer, philanthropist Vicki Eddy joins Film Festival board

The San Diego Film Foundation, producer of the San Diego International Film Festival, has announced that marketing volunteer and philanthropist Vicki Eddy has joined its board of directors. A longtime supporter of the Film Festival, Eddy, originally from Shreveport, Louisiana, has lived in San Diego the past 43 years. In her career, Eddy worked as a copywriter for local advertising agencies and design firms and taught creative direction and advertising at the Advertising Arts College. In recent years, she has donated her marketing and creative skills in support of several philanthropies. Eddy has served in leadership roles with such nonprofits as Las Patronas, Patrons of the Prado and The Thursday Club. She chaired the 113th anniversary Charity Ball for Rady Children’s Hopsital and was named United Way Volunteer of the year for her work with the Epilepsy Foundation. “I’m excited to join the San Diego Film Foundation’s board of directors,” said Eddy. “Film has the unique power to foster empathy and inspire important conversations.
