Apple ends mystery, releases ‘future of the smartphone’
Ending months of mystery and leaks, Apple finally released the long-awaited special edition iPhone, the iPhone X or the iPhone 10. Apple’s new flagship phone comes with an edge-to-edge screen, front-facing camera, new Face ID sensors and comes sans the home button. Teasing the new device, Apple CEO Tim Cook said, “Over the past decade, we've pushed forward with innovation after innovation, bringing us to this moment, when we can create devices that are far more intelligent, far more capable, and far more creative than ever before.” The iPhone X features glass on both the front and the back, with “surgical-grade” stainless steel around the sides. The water-resistant phone has been released in two colors - space gray and silver. Apple said it also comes with a Super Retina display - the highest pixel density (458ppi) display ever in an iPhone.
